How can I integrate LiveArt with my website/e-commerce engine?
LiveArt is an application, based on Adobe Flash technology. It is configurable with a set of XML files describing which products, fonts, colors, images etc will be used. The result design is passed to a back-end using a POST request which can be parsed by your software. More advanced versions of LiveArt are also shipped with LiveArt Shop (based on ASP.NET Framework) which allows user to administrate font, colors, artwork gallery, products and many other options from the web-based admin panel.
LiveArt is also an application which could be integrated into existing website or e-commerce platform. LiveArt just requires 3 things to implement: input services, outgoing services and placement into html page. The input services include automated XML generation to feed LiveArt with data on products, colors, artwork gallery etc. The outgoing services comprise acceptance of order results, design PDF, saving or loading design.

How fast should I expect to have a functioning site with complete LiveArt Shop solution?
The customization and installation of LiveArt takes from 5 business days and up to 16 weeks and depends on additional customization required. Please be advised that after the solution is deployed to your location, it also requires setup from you, see also our manual:
- Create and upload font library files
- Create and upload artwork library files
- Setup products, their images, properties and pricing
- Setup decoration pricing and general website content
Important
LiveArt does not provide the preloaded fonts or artwork packages. The package may contain just few for test and sample purposes.
We have no idea how new products get added to the catalog. How this is achieved?
A LiveArt Lite has a predefined product list along with their properties in a proprietary Product XML.
LiveArt Shop offers an extensive functionality to manage the product catalog:
- Setup basic product properties, e.g. name, description, catalog image
- Setup basic properties: available sizes, colors, decoration areas (e.g. full front, chest, back) as well as available printing methods for a garment
- Setup quantity-based pricing and any additional size or color surcharges
- Setup decoration areas images or use the global images
- NOTE: Global images is an optimized way in LiveArt if you have vast catalog of products. It allows you to prepare the product vector image in a special way, so that it self-colorizes when the color is changed in LiveArt.
How much we can customize the interface?
All customizations to the binary licenses of LiveArt are performed by our team as part of the project or paid support. The Source License is shipped with complete project file package, which gives you ability to modify any aspect of the designer including the core logic, API and visual behavior.
Do I get free updates and support for the product?
A free support includes free bug fixes, minor text changes in interface and assistance with operating the solution. New feature requests, personnel training, timely case response are paid according to standard hourly rate.
LiveArt team offers high quality and all possible bugs, glitches or inconsistencies are fixed for free during 1st year of operation. Any upgrades, new features are offered with at component cost price, which gives you complete freedom to control your annual cost and investments to your designer. Please ask also our representatives about the Support Plans if in the need of regular updates and improvements.
Is it possible to localize the tool?
All localization works are performed by our team according to agreed hourly rate for service. Scope for localization is estimated first, so that you can get an idea of cost.
How can I add my own images to LiveArt gallery?
LiveArt allows you to show bitmap format of images (PNG, GIF, JPG) and vector images in specially converted .swf format. For this purpose, edit the vector image with your preferable graphic editor and export as .swf file. Here are simple techniques to obtain a clear image:
- Clear the background just by selecting the white objects and deleting them.
- Group all white objects and black objects separately and then merge them in a proper way to get transparent background.
- Look for hidden or transparent objects. The exported image should have only one object.
The bitmap formats are imported as is without any modifications. Depending on your customization, you might also need to prepare thumbnail images.
What will I receive as a result of user online design?
Each order is stored within system along with XML specification of design. XML specification indicates what objects were added to the design along with details: texts with font, color and effects; images with color, scale and effects used as well.
In addition, LiveArt Lite is capable to generate bitmap preview PDF (A4 format, 72 dpi by default) or PNG file of the design, which is attached to the order and can be also sent as receipt to your customer. If your production process requires higher DPI, you might be interested in our add-on LiveArt PrintApp application.
Will I be able to administrate the fonts for design online application?
Each font is prepared in a special way so that user can preview it before selecting. The font should be embedded into Flash library and a separate Flash file should be prepared to keep the font sample previews. All files are prepared in the format of .swf.
